The unit performs testing of all types single-phase electricity meters using the voltage of the site. Register Test, Starting Current Test and No Load Test can be performed too. The energy standard of the system can be used without the phantom load to test meters with customer load and perform analysis of the site – with direct measurement or with optional current clamps.

This test method is suitable for quality control in the application of insulation coating. For ease of testing FT‐1 automatically set 300 PSI pressure on the sample by the inbuilt hydraulic unit and it is capable to set the desired test temperature of the platform. Then the regulated supply of 0.5V gets on and the current flowing through the insulation get measured. The calculated insulation resistivity will be displayed on graphics LCD display and as well as on printed report via thermal printer.

The PI-1600 test set is two testers in one, incorporating the PI-800 and PI-AUX. The PI-800 section can be used alone, on 120 or 240 VAC supplies, generating continuous current of 400, 800, amps at 4.2 kVA, with peak output to over 10x. When configured for the PI-1600, the PI-AUX output unit is connected in series or parallel to the PI-800.
